Karbonn A1 is an entry level android powered stylish smartphone. It is runs on android v2.2 (Froyo) operating system and has 256MB RAM. Karbonn A1 has a 3.2 megapixel front facing camera but no secondary camera. It supports 3G networks and has built in WiFi, GPRS and EDGE support.

Karbonn A1 has a 2.8 inch TFT resistive Touchscreen, they should have given a capacitive touchscreen.
A resistive touchscreen is made of 3 layers and requires you to put pressure on it to sense the area of touch.
It has a resolution of 280 x 320 pixels which is okay. 

Camera
The Camera of  Karbonn A1 is a 3.2 MP megapixel which is nice, it supports video recording at 15Fps and photos are of decent quality.

Battery and Storage
The Karbonn A1 ispowered by an 1100 mAh battery that gives you a talk time of 4 hours and a standby time of 250 hours but some users complain that its battery life is very poor and dries up in 3 hours or less.
Its has a storage capacity 512MB internally and expandable up to 32GB by microSD and microSDHC memory cards.

Multimedia and Connectivity 
Karbonn A1 supports music and video playback. It supports music formats like MP3, MIDI, WAV, AAC and AAC+. You can also watch and record videos  in H.263, H.264, AVI, 3GP and MP4 formats on this phone. Karbonn A1 comes with  a very good voice recorder.
It supports various connectivity options like 3G, GPRS, EDGE and WiFi. It also supports Bluetooth and mini USB ports to connect to various other devices. It also has GPS support and anti-theft features.

If your budget is 6K or less then this is the best phone in this range if you can spend some more bucks then go for Micromax A70, it is far better than A1.
